The Peninsula Arts Association (PAA) Artists have added a Summer Studio Tour to its schedule of events. This is in addition to its well attended Fall Studio Tour weekend. From Ilwaco to Oysterville, the Peninsula will be alive with art. Open Studios is a free self-guided tour where 25 or more local artists open their studios and creative spaces to the public and share how and where their art is created. This is a unique opportunity to visit artists and artisans, view diverse works and buy pieces specifically created or made available for this event. The Long Beach Peninsula has long attracted artists who find inspiration in the natural beauty of the area. Today many of our artists exhibit their work locally, in cities across the nation, and even around the world. The Studio Tours are an important part of the diverse artistic offerings of our area.
Professional artists open their studios to provide demonstrations and display their work in many different mediums such as pottery, painting, soap making, jewelry, assemblage, mixed media, wood carving, mosaics, photography, and other interesting art forms. This annual event is a “must see” for regional artists and art lovers.
Maps to the studios will be available mid-June from many local businesses as well as the PAA website.
